It affords very little deviation in the way of creativity & aesthetics. We attempt to design parts that are completely functional and aesthetically pleasing with improved usability and ergonomics.

What we wanted to achieve was simply not possible while following the Keymod specification. "

Keymod really does kill the creative, and aesthetic value from a forearm design imho.
IMHO, I totally disagree. KeyMod's narrow portion of the slot has a mechanical advantage. It allows the fastener nut to slide into it, with material / surface that is inside the slot's edged surface, pulling against it, while the round portion of the slot accepts a sliver of a circular boss which prevents lateral motion. The KeyMod Mount contains all of the attaching hardware in the mount itself, making it possible to secure it to a single slot. The 100 degree angle of the flat head TORX fastener allows for a mount height of .125" - .250" A compact mount design is possible. KeyMod is functional because you just put a mount where you need it. No extra rail sections or unused rail space.

I too am a big fan of Gear Sector. When we launched IWC, Jason was a big help. I really like how clean and ergo his products are, and this new project looks good. It will be interesting to see how Jason's mounts attach to the slot. MOUNT-N-SLOT

His three schools of thought, post 23. I added a fourth to shooters on the net and elsewhere saying air soft parts are just as good as the real thing

Jason answers emails at 11pm CST. You can't fake that kind of dedication to our hobby and/or profession. I'm sure the rails will be perfection.

    With rifle length.

With the recent interest around here in A4/A5 configurations, It would be interesting to see someone come up with a 13" or 14" rail with a cutout for a rifle length FSP (similar to the way Fortis did on their REV rails)

Total necro post I'll concede. Did anything ever come of this?
