Still stunning that they believe more gun laws would have prevented a shooting in a place with some of the most restrictive gun laws in the country.

Now matter how many times they arrive at that same absurd conclusion it never ceases to amaze me and I'm awed by their willful ignorance.

It was a military base, in Washington D.C. and a person with mental problems was still able to sneak a weapon inside and kill one of the few "authorized to be armed" individuals and take his weapon to shoot more people. This is presumably one of the most secure locations in the entire country...the epitome of a gun free zone.

What more blatant demonstration do they need that you can't control such people with legislation?

I never let the guard down !

some lib just posted this madcow thing from her show
saying how we only had something like 6 mass shooting in history till recently ? and how the trend in the past couple years has sky rocketed

so posted these facts from mass shootings according to stats which were pulled from FBI crime stats will be curious
    1970s: 13
    1980s: 32
    1990s: 42
    2000s: 28
    2010s (three years): 14

and of course the come back of well quite a few get the guns legally ?

YUP and I bet they drove there legally in a legal car with legally bought clothes with a legal bought cell phone and even parked legally to commit mass murder ?

and if they had to steal a car or a gun to commit the crime would not change the fact these are insane criminals and nothing will stop them

the system is broken because of the liberal system of you cant say these people are sick in the head or we cant prosecute that kid its his first time ! oh he had a reason he did these other crimes etc..

am really getting sick of these libs being so so so so stupid about stats and facts they love to ignore

I always ignored them because I tend to ignore stupid childish acts but getting sick of it

along with the new MSNBC of course saying we are what liberals want ! at least they are taking off the false we are not biased to we are communist/socialist

Use some real stats, school shootings go back to 1764 and the worst mass school killing was in 1927 and no guns were involved.

Why There Will Always Be Gun Ban Efforts...And What To Do About It...

    Lightbulb

The way they are going about disarmament (aka gun control) these days differs very little from the Nazification process in Germany; blame a social problem on a specific segment of society (gun owners), demonize them, use propaganda (aka media) to further said agenda and bring about change in social acceptance.

We are looking at this all wrong, these shootings keep happening in "gun free zones" do not show how ineffective current laws are to the point where they should be done away with but these incidents are in fact being exploited to show how much MORE gun controls laws are NEEDED to stop all these "random mass shootings". Of course its all a crock of bovine feces but fear is a powerful thing in which to manipulate the herd with.

    Regarding Obamacare....

I might be in a minority here in the sense that I do believe that government should regulate health care costs in some fashion. The single payer argument seemed like the most reasonable one to me. A system where people with means could get any plan they wish, but that the low end plans would be regulated. Now, I'm no expert on this issue, I'm kinda just going on what I've learned through my perusals of various online articles.

Call me a cynic, but I do doubt that Obamacare would have been passed were it not going to make a fortune for the favored insurance companies. The dems simply don't have enough sway to get something through Congress without some of the players on the right making a buck too. It just doesn't seem to happen.

So here's what I'm wondering. With the influx of illegal immigration going on (I'm in LA, and I have dozens of illegal immigrants literally within a stone's throw of me as I type this) and a cultural propensity for very high reproductive rates among those peoples, coupled with the pro-amnesty / "come on in, the door's open" crowd on the left, we're no doubt going to see gigantic bills coming in from people needing health care who can't or won't pay for it. Are these insurance companies quietly pushing this amnesty legislation because they know that there will be a lot of milking the government over these expenses? Is this why the GOP has given up on actually defeating Obamacare, except for the lip service opposition that seems to be pretty much rhetorical only? Are they just feigning opposition to it, or are they truly against it on principle? It's a little confusing to me, and if someone really knows the score I'd like to be educated if you'd indulge me.

If anyone cares, I just received my letter from Blue Cross. My privately purchased health insurance will be increasing from $472 to $912 per month.

Please tell me again how this is helping me?

We should fight this gun control effort as much as humanly possible (as always). However, if we lose in the end I'll leave you with this thought:

Gun control laws only affect the law-abiding......and fools.

I'll not surrender my rights for the acts of madmen and criminals, no matter how heinous. My rights > your atrocity.
