    Total Grid Failure

Thought I would throw this out there and get a few opinions on it. In our current situation I am not discounting anything.

I have read that one too, scary to think about how much of that would probably be true.

Think about just the amount of people on medications that require refrigeration. People would start dropping quickly.

I actually just finished that book a few weeks ago. I though it was great.
It seems like lately this current administration is really looking forward to some sort of military action in Syria, maybe Somalia now in reference to Kenya.
Could a grid failure be a false flag that catapults us in to our next military attack on the middle east?

One Second After and Lights Out are some of my favorite books on the subject matter.

Lights Out does a great job of giving you ideas on ways to do things once it does happen.

Keeping the 60Hz flowing is a serious job here in Texas. Although all power plants in the us are regulated by an office close to DC, i forgot the name. That office tells plants to either generate more/less. Depending on the demands of the grid. Our economy depends on electricity for our country's survival, these systems have very robust (at least here) security. Not just anyone can work in a control room either, you need a security check. But anything can happen.

Yep. Hi Yah Karate Man! Those that have read "Lights Out " will get it. From your link...

The United States, Mexico, and Canada intend to participate in a drill in November that will simulate the takedown of the grid.

The disaster drill is being described as a crisis practice unlike anything the real power grid has ever experienced. The GridEX II drill Nov. 13-14 will focus primarily on how governments will react if the electrical grid fails and, for instance, the food supply chain collapses.

The most alarming thing about this drill is the trend of suspected false flag events in America that have corresponded with “drills”. Whether or not this will coincide in a real take-down of the grid remains to be seen, but one only needs to think back to events such as the Boston Marathon Bombing, the 9/11 attacks, and the Oklahoma City Bombing to see that there is a possibility that when “drills” occur, often the players are simply being moved into place right under the nose of the public.

Oh and don't forget the Sandy Hook drill one town over.

    Both great books.

It would be stupid for us to take action in Somalia, the Kenyans will be out for blood and will take appropriate measures - our current "leadership" would just get in the way.

So you're saying that you don't want the Kenyan getting in the way of the Kenyans?

    j/k
