Just ordered a regular Gen II SS in 10 for a lightweight project... would love to use one of these instead, though- looks like a great super lightweight piece

Yes, we will be doing a 10.5" SS Keymod
This will allow for the handguard to cover a micro gas block on a mid length gas gun.

The 10.5 version is two to three weeks out. They are at hard coat.
The 10.5 version weighs 7.7oz with the barrel nut.

Just got my BCM BFH upper with the 12" rail from BCM yesterday. Haven't put any range time in yet but initial impressions have me quite happy! Now I need some rail covers (this thing is skinny!) and a direct mount keymod hand stop. Any recommendations for the hand stop?

We have not started working on the smaller parts like hand stops yet. We have tried the NSR panel kit with the hand stops on one of these and it is spooky how nice it functions and looks. Just a thought. Glad you like your hand guard.

One thing I like about the Gen II SS is the threaded taps- being able to screw directly in to the handguard with a smaller, lighter piece than normally required by rails or even keymod pieces. Does the keymod version still have the taps?

Also, sort of off-topic... I've been looking for a couple thread-in pieces- a handstop, and a sling mount. I found a nice lightweight handstop that will thread in from a different manufacturer, but I have not yet found a simple mash-loop mount that will thread straight into the taps. Does MI make one that I've missed, or do you know of anything else people have used?
