I hope this never happens, but they did build a bridge in Cali. I believe China could build quality stuff with a company qa/qc their on ground. If a company decided to outsource their resources to other countries and you buy their product, then your supporting their business practice. I wouldn't buy from that company again, but that's just me.

Yes, I am comfortable in my position. Fortunately, when I vote, I vote in the knowledge that China could become a formidable peer competitor to the U.S., with technology that rivals our own, and should not be underestimated.

I have seen numerous examples of China's low manufacturing quality for over 20 years. Show me the evidence that
the quality of their products is on a par with western made items, and I will have no "ignorant convictions."
My family worked in manufacturing and actually helped setup a plant in China. If you have all of this experience from "20 years," then why do you keep harping out weapons made 25 years ago?

Look up the WS-10 or WS-15 jet engine. Or Rockchip and Intel processors. Or a Mac or an iPhone. That's all the evidence you need.

Taiwan makes good stuff, incredible knife blades come from there.

China can make good stuff, the issue is it usually runs the same as any other countries quality good which is why the cheap crap is so popular theres a huge markup on it.

Which is the fault of the importer and the buyer, not the Chinese. It is by no means an indicator of what they are capable of.

I know that. I was simply making the distinction. People can buy what they want and unfortunately there are very few choices when it comes to some products. But, I am not going to purchase an AR, optic or other stuff that is made in the PRC.

I can also claim that I've been to the moon. It means nothing.

Tell you what....we'll make this simple, and we'll invite other members to watch.

When you get your Chinese M4 built and ready to go, I"ll happily go through a Larry Vickers-type course with you. Head to head I'll pit my BCM against your Chinese M4 and we'll see which one is still working after a grueling tactical carbine class.

    Fair enough?

I don't see how this argument will be settled with the keyboard.

You guys are making a grave mistake in underestimating the Chinese.
I don't think the problem is quite as bad here. I really don't underestimate the Chinese. My industry uses a lot of Chinese electronics to good effect. It just seems to me that their firearms track record is a bit spotty. I do hope they put a good effort in.

I've already stated (twice) that I have no in a Chinese made firearm.

That being said, yes, if you take a copy of the TDP to one of thousands of Chinese companies, they can build a firearm that will rival any American company that is building an AR to the same TDP.
