In a way you are all right,Greedy companys,,, Being sold out, etc, but they "took our jobs" was just a south park thing..lol
The only thing i like thats made in china was a $4 knife that was bought at a feed store,on a whim and 15 years later its still in my pocket...But when i bent one of their wrenches with nothing but arm power i gave up on most of their stuff..
Now i try and only buy made in the USA..IF i can...I fix things,, I dont like throw away items unless its a one use thing..But most people just throw things out and buy another..And most of the time the USA item will be a lot more costly, BUT, you can get parts for repair later. The problem come when you can buy a chinese toaster brand new for what the parts cost to fix the USA toaster. This i dont understand..It makes people say well i will just buy a new product. So nobody fixes things any more..
Also, Then you get things like the $4 knife that i would and do carry it out in the woods..AND trust it..Enough said..
Then you get a usa made bear and son knife {i own} thats like a $40 pocket knife and the fit and finish is just BAD..And to return it to get it fixed , to just look right, you have to pay the shipping both ways on a brand new knife..It should have never left the factory.I know crap happens and you cant watch them all leave the factory but these are supposed to be hand made so that means somebody built it like that and then threw it in the bin to go out..not acceptable..
One knife is 10 times more than the other, and the cheap one looks fine and has lasted 15 years, and i use a knife all the time ive carried one for about 42 years. I hate to say it but i have my doubts the $40 USA knife will last 15 years..We all know why they can make things cheaper,, how about we just make sure ours are ALWAYS better..Then its easy to pay the extra money becouse " its worth it." But if its built worse than the cheap one,, nobody can justify that..

, now unless things have changed in the past year and a half it is still that way. You and I can buy direct from the government... but we aren't foreign central banks are we...
