You would have to switch the arm out to a different adapter. I kept my old rhino and j-arm for this exact reason. It is a pretty quick swap that only requires an allen wrench and I just do it before heading out.

One other thing I forgot to mention is that the mounting arms for the dual mount are specific for either ITT or L3 housings as they are slightly different bodies. If you don't know what you have, ITT has gold colored contacts while the L3 has silver contacts. I have one of each so I just specified that when ordering a mount and told them which would be right and left.
Thanks for the info! One other question I had is, how far out do you have to run the NODs in order to be able to swivel them all the way up without the eyepiece of the -14's hitting the lip of the helmet? Does it sacrifice any eye relief?

I prefer to run them fairly close in. When I do I can start to rotate them out of the way but they do impact the helmet as you mentioned. To allow full clearance the mount does need to be extended farther than I like. However, the night vision is still totally usable and a good full picture can still be seen when extended out to that distance. I use a Wilcox g24 mount and it still has additional extension remaining when out far enough to clear the 14's.

seems like this has a similar feature set as far as being able to shift weight backward when not using the nods.

modularity or weight. modularity or weight.

If you already have two PVS-14's, is it worth it to drop $7k on a BNVD (which is a great dual tube system) or spend $500 on a bridge mount for your -14's and have all the same features of the BNVD?

I've come to the conclusion that the dual PVS-14 system using the ModArmory mount is actually more modular than a true dual tube setup, because you can QD one of the tubes on the fly.

I usually run a 1 inch eye relief for my NODs, hopefully that should be enough to clear the helmet.

Do both of your PVS-14's have similar performance specs? SNR and Res? Ideally I would like to have "matching tubes" to get the most consistency in image when running the dual configuration.

I just had my brother help me and measured the distance. At 1 inch from his eye to the back of the nv the 14s will easily clear the helmet when swinging them up. Now everyone's heads are shaped differently but I am betting you shouldn't have an issue. This is with an ops core fast btw.

As for the specs on my 14's I can't really say. I purchased my first 14 several years ago before they came with spec sheets. They are fairly close to each other (to me) but I don't know if it's really critical or if I just got lucky? The one observation I will make is that if you have one 14 that is better or a cleaner tube, I would put it over my dominant eye.
