Range Rover runs over biker> bikers retaliate> Rover runs over bikers> bikers attack

    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...reet-ride.html

    Idiots on both sides.

The driver of the SUV obviously shouldn't have hit the biker in the first place. He's an idiot.

The bikers, after seeing their friend get run over, shouldn't have tried to assault the guy in the SUV. They're idiots.

From there, it just gets even more idiotic.

He's just lucky none of them started shooting at him and his family. Lots of guys would just unload into the SUV and ride off.

They were preparing to assault him after the initial accident so to me he did the right thing by using his vehicle as a ram to take out more of the ****wits. Hell I would have done the same thing...but I would have had a nasty nasty surprise for when they caught up the second time...

I'm a biker. I hate cagers. I hate SUVs. I regret a lot of decisions I've made after someone has almost killed me.

But that SUV driver was entirely justified. In fact, he should've swerved more and taken all of them out until they stopped following.

Bikers are vulnerable. Use that to your advantage.

    Thugs.

What was the final outcome, the article wasn't clear? No one arrested?

I just looked at this video twice.

The bikers caused this issue, in my opinion. The biker brake checked right in front of the SUV. They were swarming and acting like a bunch of idiots.

The SUV guy was in fear of his life. These guys were too aggressive . The SUV driver will win this in court. They attacked him. If he had a gun, he would have been justified in defending himself.

These types of incidents give bikers a bad name.

I have been riding sport bikes and touring motorcycles for a lot of years and in my opinion the motorcycle riders in this case screwed up big time. The first contact between the motorcycle and SUV comes as no surprise. You have to be extra cautious when traveling in large numbers, because it makes cage drivers even more nervous.

Everyone involved should consider themselves lucky that no one is dead.

Sport bike riders....Range Rover drivers....the two most jerk-ish type of drivers collide on the road.

Was the Rover driver trying to hit a bike? If so...he is totally at fault and deserves what he got. Move over and slow down and just let the bikes pass you by. What is hard about that?

If the bikers were intentionally trying to crowd and intimidate the Rover driver...they should not be surprised if they get hit. Shame on them for riding so close and making a family nervous like that.

Either way, you have two members of what are usually the most jerk-ish drivers on the road mixing it up. Nothing good is going to come of that.

I try to stay far away from either type on the roads around here.

As silly as it sounds, the fear of pissing off a group of bikers and having to defend myself from retaliation is a BIG reason I carry on a daily basis. Gary Fadden would agree.

From reading the story, if I were in the SUV driver's shoes, I would have been shooting to suppress the threat and escape by what ever means necessary after the second encounter.

ETA: Not saying Mr. SUV was in the right from the beginning, not enough information to go off of.

    Really? I see:
-front end dip on the RR (indicative of braking)
-the biker looking back (seeing how close he can get? egging the driver on?)

To everyone that says the RR was an aggressor, why'd he brake when the bike did? Why'd he stop when the group did? If he wanted trouble from the get-go, he'd have plowed through the whole group much earlier.

All I know is, if I had done nothing to instigate this situation, and found myself in the RR driver's shoes...you're damn right I'd have some bikers for hood ornaments.

From the onset of the video, I see no space for the RR to maneuver.

Exactly. 400lb bike wants to dance with a 5500lb SUV? You deserve what you get at that point.

    No arrests yet.
