Not one of those bikers thought to pull their fellow brethren away as they started to assault the vehicle. I'm sure there had to be a few bikers with half a brain out there. They just let it play out.

That crap has been happening in Dallas a lot lately. Very annoying. Curious how it would've played out in ol gun totin Texas.

As far as the gang stuff goes, they generally would have to have been previously identified as gang members. That's not to say other laws would not apply such as those relating to organized criminal activity or mob rule. Can't say for sure, I'm not familiar with the penal code in New York.

I was warned about this tactic of stopping short way back in 1995 when I first became an OTR truck driver. Then, it was illegals who would be in a $200 hooptie-assed car, get in front of a truck, stop/slow down short, get rear-ended, then sue. of course, the car would have 3-6 illegals in it, and it was their word against one ole truck driver. MANY companies have paid out millions over this shit.
I was always very aware of this when in areas known to have a high number of illegals. Ive had it tried on me, thank god it didn't work for them.

any biker looking to ride in crowded streets and pull in front of someone and slow down is looking for a suit or something ?

again when I rode I rode away from folks and away from traffic ?

anyone who is good will not LOOK for busy roads !

hope all the bikers like this get what they deserve they are just bad news
kinda like dumb gun owners are when doing stupid stuff

This would be a local issue. I don't think there is a Federal statute to cover Criminal Conspiracy to Commit Asshatery.

The motorcycle riders could be charged with Mob Action in some states. The statute carries a much heftier sentence than the traffic violations these clowns committed or the Assault charges.

A big slow moving vehicle like a Range Rover has little chance to get away from a sportbike. The driver's only weapon was the mass of that SUV. He should have sideswiped the entire line of bikes leading the pack, causing a massive pileup behind them.

Keep in mind, a bike is only as fast as the rider. Most guys on sportbikes are poser squids that hang out in front of Starbucks. A capable sports car can out brake and out corner a sportbike (4 contact patches vs 2). In a straight line, I've seen 600cc bikes get smoked by cars as well. Now if the driver and his family were in a BMW M5 or Porsche Turbo, I wonder if the outcome would have been different.

At the end of the day, in a race between a bike and a car, all the car has to do to win is swerve.

Cager is as common among motorcyclists as "Biker" is to people in cars.

It used to be someone so oblivious to their surroundings (because they're surrounded by a metal cage) that they almost run into you.

This usually results in a broken side mirror, windshield, or a flat tire from a gunshot on the offending vehicle if its a deserted enough road. But since pretty much everyone in a car is oblivious these days the term has come to be used for anyone in a car.

Uh..yeah. Shoot my tire out and see what happens to you.

I can definitely appreciate people's disdain for idiot drivers, but honestly, bikes seem to bring out the exhibitionist who's also an immature asshole out of just about everyone I see riding them. Some people are just out for a ride and enjoying their bike, but the vast majority I have observed obviously do not care about their personal safety, so why the **** should I? Cutting people off, (just like the asshole did in the video) almost taunting people to hit them, speeding to excess, passing on the shoulder/between vehicles...I have seen some pretty stupid/crazy shit, and I'm in a state where bikes are not practical to ride two thirds of the year.
