If you are carrying a gun and decide to get yourself involved physically then you just turned the situation into a very possible fight for a gun... Just a thought.

My initial reaction would be to pummel the dude... However, my time, money and freedom along with possibly having to kill someone else all come into play. Some broad getting punched in the face is not worth talking to my children through a glass window for the next 20 years.

Reason #2,537 why everyone needs to know how to defend themselves without their gun.

Reason #20,834 why I just avoid going into "convenience stores" altogether...I seem to remember having this convo not too long ago

Truth be told, I'm not at all shocked. You take down Mr. Punchy and find yourself arrested for assault and facing a civil suit potential in the six figure range. Our country has conditioned non-responsive behavior. Either through apathy for the uninformed, or litigation for those in the know.

Exactly. Al and Jesse would be falling over each other trying to get there first and in front of the cameras.
Guy's got a bad temper from all appearances and most likely karma will show up in the form of a baseball bat across his face someday.
In a better America, this guy would have been on the ground before he made his turn to leave. Maybe after the reboot, America v3.0?

Why does this guy need to be assaulted by innocent bystanders after the fact. If he continued to assault the woman they should've curb stomped him, however he ended his aggression and left, and the bystanders responsibility at this point is calling the police and caring for the woman.

If you see a guy punch a woman and then walk away, and then you punch him, it isnt a mutual combatant situation, its assault.

And I dont wrestle with anyone in an unfair fight with my sidearm (unfair is 1 on 1). If I dont have friends on my side, I'm not about to get myself in a retention loss situation unless life and limb are on the line.

It's not without their gun, it's getting involved in a physical altercation while wearing a gun. There are myriad issues that surround that paradigm including weapon retention which should be paramount.

Woman assaulted, he walked away, be a witness and don't get charged with assault.

But I do understand wanting to knock the guy's lights out.

Maybe she called him niggardly for not wanting to pay the $ .41?

My wife, who used to manage a C-store and I were talking about that very possibility. The clerk incited the customer by using a disparaging remark, thereby making his actions completely justified. We all know how much words hurt sensitive people these days. Doubtful that anything will happen to this guy and if it does all he has to say is that "the bitch dissed me". Matter settled. Move along, nothing to see.

    I was making a joke.

So, your wife thinks young white women, at their job, go around saying inflammatory stuff to kinda burly middle aged men of color?

Because I don't buy it. At all.

To take the discussion further: Who WOULD you 'protect' by attempting to protect or fight back? Family? Friends?
