I'd never eat it again.
But when you have an active social life, no wife to cook for you, and need a large caloric surplus because you finally got sick of being a skinny chump and you're lifting heavy and often, it sure is convenient.
I was grilling chicken breasts until I realized that 16oz of Chicken breast has ~400 calories and costs $5. $5 will get me an 1,100 calorie Angus burger at Micky D's
If I knew of a way to be healthy and quick with meals, I'd jump on it. I'd really prefer not to have my life in the hands of some socialized doctor when I'm in my 80s being paid for through a single payer system.
Euro, there still may be a price to pay for a fast food diet. Have you ever had a fasting lipid profile performed by your MD? Even thin, active people can have hyperlipidemia and diet is at least 50% of the equation (the remainder is largely genetic).
Also, I suggest that you look around for a family practice physician who has completed a sports medicine fellowship to be your primary physician. Many of these guys are very tuned in to diet or know nutritionist who focus on athletic diet plans.
That, along with the HIV test that I suggested last year, is my free bit of medical advice for your weight maintenance issues.
I like my rifles like my women - short, light, fast, brown, and suppressed.
