I have a bunch of the 5.56 MAMS, and 2 of the 7.62 MAMS. I'm really liking the results I get with them. Blast is ok, till the barrels get short, big difference between 11.5" and 10.5". They shoot pretty neutral, not much flash either.

Yeah, I noticed muzzle dip on barrels shorter than 18" with the BCE
OK, I made some calls and I think we can have a non-scientific shoot on Saturday with some different muzzle devices. My donor is gun is a KAC SR 15 MOD1, about 300 rounds in on a new gun. It has the standard A2 flash hider on it now. I have an extra MAMS, Surefire mount and a Battlecomp, I'm supposed to be supplied a original BCM, and I hope the Griffin is the is the 2cd generation Flash Comp. Ammo is just M193, I hope this pans out and will post the results.
I stumbled on this video a long time ago and thought it was interesting in terms of showing what the Battlecomp actually does. The B.C. is installed upside down and fired on a full auto. The muzzle jumps on the first round or two but then settles in, or the shooter is able to compensate consistently on the subsequent shots. Even though it is upside down, and the shooter doesn't know it, he still reports (could be BSing it) that the muzzle is more stable.

Wow, I hope that the shoot this Saturday doesn't come out like that!
I just found a new old stock "Triple Tap" in the box of shims. It's a shiny early one, I'm going to try this out as well.
I've already spun the A2 with crush washer off. I'm timing the shims now to save some range time.
