NYPD Undercover Officer Arrested In SUV Attack...

(CBS News) An NYPD undercover detective has now been arrested in connection with an attack on a family in an SUV by a group of motorcyclists, reports CBS News' John Miller.

The officer is expected to be charged with criminal mischief for allegedly banging on and breaking the rear window of the SUV. The detective waited four days before coming forward to the NYPD and he allegedly made false statements about his involvement, reports Miller.

The AP identified the officer as Wojciech Braszczok, and said he turned himself in to face riot and criminal mischief charges. He was expected to make a court appearance Wednesday.

There were also 4-7 (Cannot confirm exact number) off duty officers part of this group of bikers who did nothing to stop the beating from the reports I've seen.

Dirty cops?

Were the bikers a 1% MC or just weekend warriors?

Were the cops undercover infiltrating a criminal or organization or just riding with their friends on there days off?

These are some of the question I have . . .

It doesn't matter.

Cops aren't required to do anything to protect someone from being harmed, even moreso when they are off duty.

That said, they still should. (And most of them do)

Another POS poor excuse of a cop locked up and soon to be booted from the force. I have no defense for those who think they are above the law because they wear a badge.

He'll get off. He'll just say that to cement his cover he acted like he was in on it. The window was already broken, he just banged on the car- what real harm is there in that?

Everyone in the gang swears that they were angels and actually trying to help and diffuse the situation...

It does raise questions about why they were infiltrating this gang in the first place....

There are actually not that many 1% sport bike clubs, and I didnt see any patches I recognized as such.

Yeah, I don't know of any myself. But I guess this was just a run of the mill street gang on bikes or a bunch of guys caught up in the "mob mentality". I see a new trend within the sport bike community, douche bags getting together to shut down highways, terrorize drivers (cagers), etc. Reason #3,782,179 to have standard capacity magazines.
