He was talking about shooting, AR's in general and mentioned that estimates put it at around 4 million AR's owned in the US. I actually thought that might be a low estimate.
Bourdain drew some heat for dissing some of the local cuisine. No problem. At least he didn't seem to be too out of touch with the locals that he couldn't enjoy firing a nice weapon. Regarding AR firearms in the US, I now have 7. Considering they've been available for civilian purchase since the 1960s, I was guessing around 7 million +.
