...a new barrel and doing some shopping. Would like any and ALL input, please. I'm looking for a HEAVY, fluted barrel that will best match the receiver in question. Rifle is stainless, chambered in .300 Win Mag and I believe has a barrel length of 24 3/8 ". I will be firing hand loads for the most part with bullet weights in between 168 and 175 grains.
How does the thread pitch between barrel and chamber/receiver work? Can any barrel mfg match this?
