Obviously there have been bad stakes with some manufacturers where there were marks on the key but metal did not touch the screw -- and that's obviously not right, and people were smart to avoid those manufacturers if they wanted a professional grade rifle. In this case, though, that does not apply.
I have not called into question the quality of materials used.

But I'm done going back and forth with you. Thanks for posting the pic.

That does not address the heating and cooling, expansion and contraction of the metals. Unless you want to do it every time you shoot.

I have a PSA lower that I bought to use as a spare when I have other's shooting with me. It locks up tight with both my DDM4 and Wilson uppers, so yes, I'd say they're a good product to spec.

Just picked up one of their blem complete lowers today. I couldn't resist at the price they had. I only got to run 300 rounds with it before the fudds showed up at the range and cried for clears every 2 minutes to check their hunting rifle zeros, but everything seems GTG.

    a few notes

*Lower drops P mags and GI mags free.

*The trigger is smooth, with a longer reset than my Colt. I'll leave it be, grease it and run the piss out of it. Comparing lowers by GI triggers is for window lickers anywhoo

*The "blem" was laughable. I'll take the savings.

    * I fit the lower to my colt upper and a DD m4v7 upper without issue. Very little play ( as if that really matters anyway.) Takedown pins are smooth.

    * I paid $199 shipped and transferred. It took exactly 10 days from order to transfer.

I figure I'll post a few "what's shipping" photos for comparison's sake. It's a sample of one of course.

PSA and my "vetted" Colt 6920 lower

    Colt hammer markings/fire safe

PSA markings. Not sure if this is a manufacturer code? ETA: some folks on the webs say this is indicative of LW Schneider parts. Note the un notched hammer......

    Colt ships with H buffer

PSA has a company marked buffer. Unknown weight, recoil impulse with M855 was subjectively the same.

This was the only "blem" I could find

    PSA castle nut staking.

six posistion mil spec diameter tube. Not sure if it is extruded or forged. Comes with a PSA branded waffle stock.

    Rollmark

    with the 6920 upper

    mutt gun

I'll continue to run it. I have a pending stamp on the Colt lower, so next decade when it comes back (unless I die first ) the PSA lower will inherit the Colt upper permanently. I'll report back if I break it before then.

Thanks for the comparison pics Split66.

I've owned a couple of PSA complete uppers and they've both ran with no issues. Both of the BCG's I have from them are M16 carriers and the gas keys are sufficiently staked.

In my experience, at PSA's price point they are good to go, esp if you are doing a budget build.

I just went through this same question. I was able to put together a complete middy for $698. So there prices are right. And it seemed the general consensus is they are a decent gun and or parts for the price.

That's a carbine weight buffer. PSA's heavier buffers look the same but have an "H", "H2" or "H3" below their logo.
