I like the enhanced carrier + A5 combo's. I've been able to use the latest few generations of enhanced carriers in every 5.56 I've tried with great success. That setup really shines on guns that see a can sometimes. The Sprinco green spring adds zip to the heavy A5 buffers, I use regular Colt rifle springs in the lighter A5 buffers.

I still don't understand why the OP felt the need to "upgrade" to the LMT enhanced BCG. Daniel Defense builds rifles that just plain run reliably.

And a 16" LE6920 with a carbine buffer runs reliably too. That doesn't mean it runs optimally.

At the very minimum, the LMT enhanced carrier is a performance upgrade. It's hard to get without the enhanced bolt these days, so I can see why the OP used the entire BCG.

I agree that swapping parts just for the sake of it is a waste.
Swapping parts with a goal oriented manner can lead to good results, but you need a baseline to compare. If you don't, you don't have any idea the direction you're heading.

My brand new DDm4v7 LW ran flawlessly right out of the box for 300+ rounds my first day on the range. Not sure why it would need enhanced anything
Give it a good 500+ rounds and then decide what parts need changing.

It enhanced it right into the junk pile, IMO.

OP: Try the factory DD BCG and report back how it does, please. I'm dying to know...

I think the lesson to be learned here is, if it ain't broke don't fix it.

A gun might not be broke, but not run properly for various reasons by the end user.
If someone is swapping parts to help resolve their issues, I see no problems doing that.
Stuff like cold weather reliability, adding a can to the mix, etc.

Tangential, OP put the "enhanced BCG w/ enhanced bolt" into a brand new rifle that is widely regarded as having superb functioning out of the box.

If you're trying to fix issues, then I see no problems swapping parts.
