Thread: General Purpose Rifle Stock Length?

    My ideal 'fixed' stock would be one based off the A5 RE, which uses the Magpul back plates, adapted to the McMillan/Packmayer (not sure on the original origin) LOP spacers. It would probably involve a floating adapter to go from the spacers to the MagPul contour, but the flexibility of something like that would have me consider a fixed stock. I realize the downside is weight, so this probably doesn't work.

    Anything getting close to the A1 length makes the MOE Fixed and Sully stock comparably attractive options.

    Yep same receiver extension used on the RRA "entry" stocks during the assault weapons ban, Sully and also the Magpul UBR.
