    The Magpul fixed carbine stock is pretty short.

    I'd say it's the shortest you'd want to go.

    I am 6'1" 210lbs. wearing a t-shirt the length from the back of the receiver to end of the stock is 9 1/4"

    I prefer a fixed stock over an adjustable one. I cut an A2 stock down to A1 length and it works for me. I would not go more than one inch shorter than an A1 stock.

    STR 2 clicks out on an A5 is where I find mine a lot also.

    If you wanna change the game develop a buffer tube assembly that mounts like an A2 stock, uses a car buffer and spring but is the length of an adjustable 1 click out.
