    1) Midlength gas for 16" barrel
    2) Any reputable freet float handguard at least 10" in length to fully cover the gas block and is not excessivly heavy. Prefer and shaved FSB for the durability.
    3) Daniel defense fixed front sight with a troy or magpul folding rear sight. Prefer always having the front sight up (hence fixed) to use as a point of reference when quickly shouldering the rife, helps me find the red dot faster. Don't like having the rear sight up as I think it clutters up the sight picture for me.

This would be my preference for all around work.

Having owned just about every type of gas system & rail length combo I keep coming back to and prefer:

Carbine gas system / 16" barrel
    12" FSP rail

I've moved back to standard 14.5" carbine gas rifles with carbine handguards and F front sight posts. Simple and easy.

    1. Mid length.

    2. 13"-14". (Plus or minus .5")

    3. Low pro gas block with flip ups. (However, I think FSB are a better choice on a larger scale)
