    Help with scope mounting

I have a flat top ar15 and wanted to know if anyone could suggest a scope mount or height that will clear my magpul mbus gen 2 rear sight. I really want a cantilever mount if possible. How tall would I need to go?

Thanks but the 200$ price tag is a bit much I'm sure they are worth it though the look well built but I'm looking in the less than 100$ range

Then I would suggest taking up the search here: http://www.ar15.com/forums/f_3/18_Op...nd_Sights.html

    ;-) Good luck

Burris PEPR is the cheapest I would consider. Less than $100. Made in China, but so are all others in this price category.

What scope are you planning on using? If you want the eyepiece forward of the bus eye relief may be a problem. GH

I would guess his intent is not to necessarily be forward of the BUIS, but rather to sit far enough forward that he can attain cheek weld in relation to eye-relief, and knows this will likely put the eyepiece over the BUIS. This is how basically all AR-specific mounts are designed, so it shouldn't be difficult to achieve.

in that case the clearance is probably more dependent on the dia. of the scope than any of the standard 30mm mounts...
    never push a wrench...
