First 9mm AR Build, Need suggestions for better quality parts list.

Going to do my first 9mm AR build and while I have a long history of building standard AR's I'M not to familiar with the manufacturers of better quality 9mm AR parts.

So my question is what manufactures offer upper tier 9mm parts for AR based builds?

    Suggestions please for,

    Barrels
    Bolts
    FCG
    Buffers

    Thanks!

I get good mileage outta CMMG lowers, bolts, buffers, etc. Wilson barrels work well also. Honestly, I would go with a complete CMMG lower.. But that's just me..

I have a DDLES Colt pattern lower with a YHM upper, barrel, and rail, and a CMMG bolt. Heavy Buffers 9MM-Q buffer.

Works great thus far, although it's only seen 750rds. Hasn't been cleaned, only lubed the bolt before shooting.

If you want a 16" just get a Colt and be done with it.

I will say.. My 6450 has ~8k-9k rounds through it and it's never been dissembled beyond the normal cleaning.. and not much of that!

    Ramped bolt
    Hahn Magwell Adapter
Slash 9Q Heavy Buffer with Wolff Xtra Power Spring

Those are 3 key things that go a long way towards a reliable and smooth shooting 9mm.

I will be using a multi caliber marked AR lower receiver from PSA as I have several to play with so I will be needing a 9mm Magazine Block.

Barrels- I assume this is going to be an SBR? Will you be running suppressed all of the time? Part of the time? Never? Do you want a 3-lug? Direct thread? Don't care?

Bolts- RRA may be a consumer grade manufacturer of std. ARs, but I believe they've carved out a good niche in the 9mm market (my opinion). My RRA bolt has been GTG for a while, my CMMG Enhanced rubs the ejector on my V-M block. I've taken to running the RRA in all my 9mm ARs and it has been 100% except for very early on when the roll pin was walking out. A quick fix flaring the ends and it has not reoccurred.

FCG- Non-stepped hammer, SS pins are a must. Do you want to break bolt catch pins? Errr... excuse me... I mean, do you want a last round BHO?

Buffers- Gotta be up around 5+ oz. Slash-Q will make it easier on your gun. It's also a possibility to just go H3 (5.5) and be done.

The most important question you left out- what block/mags do you plan on running?

I was thinking of a Spikes Tactical Enhanced 9mm Magazine Block unless a better suggestion is offered, as for barrels and bolts I have no preference other then I want known manufacturers with a established reputations in the 9mm AR parts market.

    All suggestions are appreciated.

Unless you just really want a standard lower with a magblock the CMMG I purchased a few years ago has performed flawlessly. With metalform mags it has fired thousands of rounds (based on my reload count) Once the stamp comes back Im putting a 7inch barrel from ADCO on it.
