I have a SBR with a Adco 4.5" barrel and a CMMG ramped bolt. Buffer is a Slash's heavy buffer with a Springco red spring. The other one is a YHM 16" barrel and YHM bolt. These are both run on a CMMG dedicated 9mm lower.

The lower is going to be from PSA which has a reputation of quality and being "In Spec" so I'll be building from there. Currently the rifle will be built with a 16"inch barrel or a 14.5 with a pined flash hider until I relocate in the next two years to a more gun friendly environment and can obtain a tax stamp for a SBR and Can.

I would also like to stay with a standard lower parts kit and act trigger if possible but every other part is open for discussion.

So I'll be needing a Block, barrel, bolt, buffer, spring and any other required parts.

RRA and CMMG make quality bolts. I believe the CMMG is ramped from the factory. As mentioned, a rounded DPMS style hammer works best. Hahn makes the best mag blocks. Colt/Metalfom make the best mags. I always recommended the heavier 9oz Slash buffer since it really smooths out the recoil impulse which can be a bit sharp.

The CMMG's are indeed ramped and I agree on the Colt/Metalform mags. They've worked great for me. I prefer a dedicated lower over a adding a magblock as they always seem to be dedicated in the end anyhow..

I really should have made Slash sign a contract before I had him make that buffer.

Since you are already married to the lower, I suggest the Spikes mag well block because it is adjustable.
BCM has a 9MM barrel but it is not always in stock. Check BCM's and G&R's web sites.
Personally, I would just buy a complete Colt upper, they work.
If you are going to build the whole rifle, I would do a Colt BCG (if you can find one) or the CMMG.
As far as buffers, try to find a longer one built for the 9MM. Spikes used to make one and heavy buffer.com makes one.

From my understanding I could not use a ACT trigger with a CMMG because the CMMG bolt needs a non standard hammer to work correctly. Is this right?

No, I believe it is the opposite. The CMMG carrier is ramped to accept any style hammer.
