There is nothing like an old school Sig. I picked up this West German KD (1993) and have given it a full detail strip and replaced all of the springs. Already ordered 15 round Mec-Gar mags, G-10 checkered grips and an 18 round P228 mag from Greg Cote LLC (http://www.gregcotellc.com/cart/index.php).

I also ordered a set of Trijicon HD sights for both this and my newish P229.

If you don't know who Greg Cote is you should probably get to know him. He is the best source for mags & grips.

I have a KB dated P228 and although I do not carry it often, it is a well made and reliable pistol.

Good to know about that mag/grip source, because some sellers are mighty proud of their P228 mags.

I ordered three P229 mags from him on a Friday and had them in my mailbox on Monday. Granted we are only two states away but the man lives on his e-mail. You will get a shipped notice normally less than an hour after ordering.

Looks great! I have a W. German P228 as well. It fits my hand perfectly and it just feels natural. As for Greg Cote, he's an outstanding seller. Ive bought many Sig, Colt, and Beretta from him over the years, along with all of my Hogue Piranha grips. Ive still got to get a set for my P228 though, so as soon as I can free up some cash I'll be ordering from him again.
