That is my daily carry (at least until my HK45 gets back from Bowie). It was made by my friends at www.jojosgunworks.com. They specialize in 1911s , ARs and tactical rifles. Check out the picture gallery.
The 1911 is an old Colt slide on a newer Colt frame. This was another customer's pistol that was almost finished when he abandoned the project. Even though it was not as I would have ordered it, it was a steal so I took it.
Wilson barrel, Wilson (the other one) Bulletproof and Ed Brown small parts, CMC tritium sights, Gunner grips and too much metalwork to list. The whole pistol is coated in Slickshot, a nickle teflon finish. Awesome pistola.

i've got one with a can.
it's one of the few collector / "fun guns" in my safe.
too big to CCW comfortably.
frankly, i'm not a fan of the looooooooong trigger pull.
but it is fun to shoot.
30 cal has all the goodies!
