BCM Failures - Somebody Help This Individual Found On Youtube.

Here we have some random Youtube guy who has posted 6 videos in the last couple of days claiming his BCM is "failing". He appears to be running a unknown Nib BCG. I advised him to seek some advice on this website and informed him of the many great minds that reside here, who can solve issues such as this. I asked him some questions such as ammunition, BCG, whether this is a "frankengun" etc. I have yet to hear back.

I told him the chances of the BCM being the reason is probably less than 0.000001%. We'll see.

    Here is his videos:

I am sure Iraqgunz can solve this issue fairly quickly.

Sure he can, but let's not get completely over the top with BCM is infallible syndrome.

Whether it is the result of something Related to BCM or not, every Company puts out a bad product from time to time, including BCM.

If it is something with their product they will likely fix it......he should have called them before posting videos titled BCM failure, if indeed he did not, as I haven't watched what appears to be all four parts.

EDIT: There are at least six videos with several different issues, FTF, last round bolt hold open, perhaps more.....the guy needs help as he refers to the firing pin as a striker, likely confusing it with a gLoCk. Who knows what bolt he is using, I sure can't tell from those videos.

I stopped watching as soon as I saw he was shooting a pistol lower but I'm gonna go out on a limb & say that my guess is that individual has more to do with the malfunctions than BCM does.

My guess is an out of spec BCG and an improper buffer/spring combo.
Not sure about you guys, but I'm only here for the free food and open bar.

    Unknown BCG
    Spring / buffer combo (?)
    Unconfirmed ammo
Is this new and unbroken in BCM even properly lubed? And by properly I mean "LAV'd"

If I had to guess I'd say it's the BCG, or he didn't properly lube because he has magical coating on his BCG. Sounded pretty damn dry when he racked it. And the pistol lower probably isn't helping...

Any company is capable of putting out a bad product, some more often then others. But the upper certainly doesn't appear to be the weakest link in that weapon.

Any clue to the manufacturer of the BCG? or the make and type of the spring and buffer used? Not looking to eliminate the possibility of a faulty BCM upper at this point but just looking for some more info.

I have to agree with SpeedRacer, it also sounds dry to me.

I am going to guess this is probably a newb that went ahead and dropped in some off brand bcg with out checking headspace. I highly doubt this is a "BCM" issue. I have had several bcm uppers (with bcm bcg of course) without issues and thousands of rounds down range. No offense to this guy but he should have bought a complete rifle off the shelf or something instead of trying to "build" his own.
