EOTech battery pack conversion?

I recently came across a gently used 511.A65 (N-cell batteries).

Since the N and AA are both 1.5 volt batteries, can I take the N-cell pack off and install a AA-cell battery pack on to this sight?

Does EOTech even sell a AA-battery pack upgrade or option?

Let me do it this way-
You are stuck with the battery choice you started with.
That is, unless you or a friend decide to do something enterprising and most likely copyright infringing about it. I recall someone doing a solar charge mod, but I can't remember if it actually worked out or not.
