Makasi or Galil Ace for Next 5.56 Side Charging Piston Gun

I’ve got a bunch of piston guns already and it’s down to these two for the next addition. They’re neatly identical in price. The Makasi is a new to the market FAL AR hybrid. Anybody got experience with both by chance?

Me personally, the galil all day. It's a completely sorted out gun you can trust from day one.
Let those who are fond of blaming and finding fault, while they sit safely at home, ask, ‘Why did you not do thus and so?’I wish they were on this voyage; I well believe that another voyage of a different kind awaits them.”

I agree. I'd give the Makasi another year or so to see how it pans out. The Galil Ace is literally battle proven. If you don't one, it's a no-brainer. I personally prefer the Gen1 Aces because they're less AR15ish.

The Makasi arrived today (provide by the manufacturer for testing). I’m pumped to shoot this gun this weekend as it’s impressive out of the box. Not super heavy or light but well balanced and it feels robustly constructed.

Here it is with the Colt that came in from Aim this week.
