    Garands...

    Seriously nice rifles. Brings back great memories of learning to shoot when I was 12. Someday when the pennys accumulate I will have one.

    Talking My M1

    1942 Springfield Armory. Bought it in unfired condition at a gun show. Its the best rifle i have ever owned!
    To close for missles, were switching to guns!

    Just acquired this baby via a trade... looking forward to a little range time tomorrow morning, as long as things stay on track.

    Springfield serial number puts it in '43, which makes it 27 years older than me, 4 older than my dad. There's something I just have to respect in this rifle...



    Should be an interesting trip - this ol' iron and wood hero side by side with a current M4.
