Daniel Defense New for 2014 Offering

    Another Mk12 option.

Details of the barrel is... impressive: cold hammer forged, SS, Melonited; Rockwell C Hardness of 65.

    Magazine on news stands now.

Interesting. Although I wish DD would offer a keymod rail or some other slick rail option other than the MFR.

    Good idea, Scooter.

I think I would like that better.

    +1

If not, I would rather see this with a RIS II rail

I never quiet understood the role of the MK-12. Why not just use a 308 and leave 556 to what it's good at.

    A 556 is more accurate than a 762?

It has a 700m range. 7.62 has an 800m range. The extra range isn't worth the weight, the loss of the ability to crossload and the reduction in firepower in close range engagements.
