What is the definition of "Recce" here?

Are you trying to mirror the original carbine program, mirror the capability, or did you just buy a carbine with "Recce" in the name?

I decided to go with the Leupold Multi-gunner 1-6 for mine. Still gotta save up a little more but it has all the things I wanted in a scope and it has a fire dot so it's aimpoint like. And if I need my Aimpoint, it's just a flip of the QD switches.

I am building a couple recce style rifles right now with slightly different purposes.

1.) Noveske 16" Light Recce barreled MUR upper w/ 15" NSR, no bipod, Geissele SD-C. I choose a Khales K16i SM2 for this set up. I wanted a variable that is truly like an Aimpoint at 1x (the k16i is it!) that I could dial up the magnification for target ID and to aid with shooting out to 500yds or so. Mainly I wanted a setup to run like a basic RDS carbine most of the time but with a little more capability at distance. With a Bobro extended mount the combo weighs 24.5oz and I can quickly swap the scope out with a T1/Bobro combo if desired.

2.) Noveske Recon MUR upper w/ 15" NSR, bipod, Geissele SD-E. I went with the Vortex Viper PST 2.5-10x32 EBR Mil on 30mm extended Bobro for this setup. Trident is the inspiration for this build. I intend to cut my teeth at precision shooting up to and past 600yds. The Vortex is not a Nightforce but for $700 dollars it is close enough to learn on and is still a quality optic.

Both optics are quite impressive thus far but I still can't get over how nice is the K16i. It exceeded all expectations for a "jack/do all" carbine optic. The 2 moa dot is extremely bright and at 1x it really does feel like an Aimpoint (a 24oz Aimpoint that is).
