Looking for good affordable LED Lanterns?

Can you guys advise o some good affordable LED lanterns? I've seen the Streamlight Siege, nice features but it is expensive. I'm just looking for something to be used around the house during a power outage.

    Thanks

I've never used this but I found it on amazon . Way cheaper than a streamlight. http://http://www.amazon.com/Weather...ds=led+lantern
The man has won a national championship and been to another. Sure he’s a little bit weird, but have you been to Louisiana? They’re all weird. Death row inmates used to be able to choose “fed to alligators” as an option to be executed. Let Miles eat his grass and keep winning.

I use a combination of these,
    http://Www.amazon.com/Ryobi-18-Volt-...=ryobi+lantern, and these
    http://Www.amazon.com/Energizer-Weat...nergizer+light
Both work well.I have tested them and they run a long time. I use tenergy rechargeable D cell batteries for the energizer and have a 6 station charger for the ryobis. I only use our house generator when we need water. I use a 12 v car battery to run my pellet stove. I have 4 energizers and 2 ryobis. I am going to get a couple more ryobis because I can charge batteries faster. I charge whenever the gen is on. Hope this helps.

Got a few at Home Depot for $20 and they have worked well and run a long time.

All of the lights I mentioned were purchased at home depot. I just linked amazon for the convenience. I usually pick one up when I buy something else.

The solar powered Luci LED lantern ought to be in everyones emergency kit. Not the most output, but just stash a couple collapsed where the sun will hit keep charged. I bought five, but family members begged so need to re-order.

A few different brands I think. I know a few are Coleman. They were on sale at Home Depot. Work fine for basic needs at home. I also keep back up old school lanterns that take lamp oil and or gasoline to run.

    Thanks guys,

I went ahead and ordered thew GE Chromalit 3D.

    http://www.amazon.com/General-Electr.../dp/B007IIYL5C

That should work in my living room. I'll probably just pick up a few smaller Coleman's for the kid's rooms.

I also have a Coleman dual fuel and a traditional kerosene but with young kids around, I'm not comfortable with those.

Have used these Rayovacs with success:

    http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Totally agree with avoiding flame light sources indoors. Good to have kerosene type lights stored away, but LED lights area just great and are safe as can be. This one costs under $20 when on sale. Good luck!
