Bashing a product for looks makes you come across as an armchair quarterback on TOS looking to bash his buddies Airsoft rifle. If you haven't personally used it, for a while, just move on.

God bless guys, it's DD we're talking about here. I'm positive they wouldn't launch a product if they haven't first done homework such as drop tests, ergonomics, design changes, etc...and got industry professional feedback...they just wouldn't. DD doesn't run with gimmicks or fads.

Is it ugly, yup, does it matter...nope. Function always comes first, everything thereafter is just bonus or filler. Function first, everything else gets last place. So until feedback from the SME's, Moderators, forum users, etc start rolling in...just stop it with the laptop samurai BS.
You're absolutely right. I am going to delete my previous post now. Thanks.

I'm sure DD has a reason for going this route, possibly as an available option with the parts made in house. I just don't know what that reason could be where there are so many available options for the same kit on the market. Most people will take that stuff off and replace it with something else form MagPul, B5, BCM etc. Assuming these stocks and pistol grips are going to become the only option, I'd have kept the M4 stock and A2 grip and let my customers swap it out for what ever they want. We'll see what actually happens in the near future.

I'm wondering if the way the stock is designed with the semi flat surface on the heel, if it would help when you roll the rifle outboard to do a mag change.

I'm not going to speak on complete rifles, but if offered as stock sets, they will find buyers at gunshows and you all know it. People buy everything else thats new....that rhino-hide will actually sell them.

DD is obviously taking some design liberties here, but they funded it, win or lose. I hope they sell a million/month because that guarantees further production of their gear that I Choose to buy. At the end of the day it's still high school economics. The firearms industry is anything but a "walk in the park" for these companies....no need to bring the hate quite so fast on a well respected company like Daniel Defense.

Here's a 3 minute mini-fix I did in photoshop. I wanted to bring the bottom of the stock up more and didn't mean to make it bowed. It would have taken too long to do a proper fix but you get the idea - without the rubber and if the bottom part of the stock were shortened, it may not look so bad.

Your version looks better IMHO. The problem with this furniture is there aren't going to be a ton of reviews because know one will want to throw away money. The grip is the only tolerable thing. Hopefully they don't equip all there guns with these abominations because that would be a deal breaker.

I got a new DDM4V1LW yesterday. Within 10 minutes of being home it had a Magpul Miad and B5 Bravo on it like all my other rifles. Not that I hate the looks of the MOE stock or the A2 grip but I like and use them and want to standardize my rifles. It's not all snakes and sparklers.

I love DD, but the accessory market is one they need to stay away from imo. These look more like cheap airsoft products than they do something that DD would produce and put their name on.
