The grip looks decent, a revised angle with added texture and integrated trigger guard, by itself there is not much to dislike, it looks like a grip. I sure would rather have gotten it on a complete DD than the A2. I can not say the same for the stock.
Shao, that change to the stock does look better.
Revolt all you want folks. It is just a stock and grip. Maybe, just maybe DD will pull the plug and come up with something you actually want, something that does the same thing and doesn't look like crap.
Edit.

So basically...
Don't use this stock if you have a beard as the rubber will undoubtedly rip your facial hair right out.
Got some hands on with these today. Hated the look at first, but I have to admit I've been won over. Feels like really good quality polymer, tight fit, anti-rotational ambi QD socket, and comes with two different buttpads. Reports from the range day was that even the beardy guys liked it, but I haven't shot it yet.

Redbeardsong, Were you able to tell how the forward end of the integrated trigger guard is attached to the receiver? Does it have a screw or does it just sit in between the tabs? I can't tell by the pics.
Wow. Two whole actual people with hands on, and five pages of noise? Not like I've contributed a great deal here, but I do come here to learn. Or used to...
If it is stupid and works, it isn't stupid. If it is ugly and works, who cares? Oh yeah, the posers.
I think a lot of you guys should consider taking up additional hobbies. Diversify your interests a bit.
Best thread ever!!!
DD is a good rifle but as a company I am not sure what their R & D is doing. Maybe this is the R & D...ya know run it by the forum and see if it flies.
My opinion, for what its worth, is that if it wasn't a DD rifle, it would be pretty much universally hated.. see Arsenal Democracy.

Is this OEM gear for DD's built rifles to improve their margins and differentiate their rifles from other black rifles using the same parts (e.g. Magpul MOE, standard A2 grip, etc.)?
Or are these meant as after-market upgrades to compete directly with Magpul, BCM, etc.?
