I honestly have no idea why they feel the need to get into the stock game.
I love DD rifles, especially their barrels and rails, but damn if they don't make ugly accessories
I was definitely on the fence about the furniture until i saw the latest video from DD at Shot Show. Their engineering big wig was giving a once over on the color and new furniture. The stock looks much better in the hands as opposed to just a photo. The color, IMHO is bad ass, seems darker than Magpul FDE which im all about. I have been a DD fan for years and have several of their rifles. I will be checking with my local dealer to view these new rifles as soon as they hit shelves.
Reminds me of Fab Defense / Mako stuff.

So ColtSeavers and Moose-Knuckle, now that you have seen it in person can you please relate how it felt, if it grabs beard hairs, would the 'hook' on the stock be good for offhand grasping when prone, does the rubber grip lock your grasp better tgan the MOE+ or ERGO, and how does the grip angle feel?
I'd like to hear DDs take on the furniture. My preference on has always been a no go with sticky rubber like items on rifles or gear other than some gloves. I even used duct tape/electrical tape once on a 590A1 stock to keep the rubber from getting caught on my PC. With that said, it does look like it's placed in the right places.
Initial take: yikes
After viewing photos from Shot: I like em'
This reminds me of the reaction I saw when Hk's "Spider-Man" grips came out on the HK45, and also on the P30.
Then Todd Green proceeded to run 50,000 rounds through that 45 in a torture test - and I'm sure gun folk turned their attention to performance, rather than aesthetics.
SCARs are fugly in the minds of many - but those same critics would drop dead at a chance to own one - due to the performance of the weapon.
I own a DDM4...and I'm a fan of the company. As long as the gun performs - it's all gravy to me.
Can't wait for more hands on reviews from people who've groped these bad boys.

I dunno - if they did a light remake of the old school CAR stock, but with a slightly updated pad and removable overmold, that would have been baller. Same with a revised angle integral TG pistol grip, again with removable/replacable overmold, and I'd be totally sold on it.
