I guess I should have been more specific to their furniture and vfgs, the A1.5 is a fantastic sight set

This article shows a full-auto MK18 with the furniture being used. The author seems to like the new furniture.

While I don't personally like the aesthetics of the furniture and can see the stock presenting comfort issues to our bearded friends; I won't knock it until I try it.

That's a ghost gun that can dispense a 30 caliber magazine clip in half a second.

I got some range time with the new DD guns today, both with and without the new furniture. After shooting it, I like it. I didn't think I would like the grip, but it fills the palm nicely, and the angle works well for me. I had no beard trouble with the new DD stock. I DID, however, have a beard hair caught and ripped out by the MOE stock. Sample of one.

BAM! new furniture has passed the beard test! All future arguments are invalid!

While my beard isn't as long as yours, it does get caught in many stocks. I found that it usually gets pulled from where the front of the stock meets the buffer tube and gets trapped between the tube and inside tube of the stock. The DD stock did not pull my beard, and I found that with a sweaty face, or just in general, it prevents your cheek from slipping forward or back.

I thought it provided much better ergonomic feel with the grip. Compared to the MOE+, the feeling is about the same but the stance or way you hold it is angled a tad differently which makes it very comfortable. This furniture will be released per DD rep and available separately from the rifles that will be released with them moving forward. I am glad that DD is jumping in a different direction and I do not think it is a bad thing since they want to come up with their own set of furniture.
I also went by the DD booth at SHOT. When they explained the new furniture to me, my next thought was, I can't wait to try a set on my DDV7lw. I don't use vertical grips, so I will leave that part alone.

While filling out paperwork for the Daniel Defense Stocking Dealer program I played with the v7 standard mil spec+(DD FDE) with the new furniture and I am incredibly impressed by it. Very comfortable, excellent cheek weld and the new vert grip is great as well.
