I'm getting 4 7/8 inches to the rear of the base plate. That is a Vickers base plate as well.

Well, on my digital calipers, measuring from the top of the feed lip directly under to the base, I got 121.87 mm's.
Or, 4.8045 inches. Hope this helps.
