Full hilt and with a little oil and practice is as quick as a switchblade.

I have never had a need to go any higher then my SOG Trident (SAO)
The assisted opening keeps it legal almost everywhere (as its not technically an auto), but it opens just as fast as one...and the seatbelt/cord cutter comes in handy!
but the best is that not one of mine has ever broken on me, and thay have all been in the $100 area!!!

I used to carry a Benchmade AFCK for about 9-10 years. I recently switched to a Emerson M-Wave. I like it a lot but I miss the way the AFCK carries in my pocket.
The top of the pocket clip is located very close to the end of the knife so it rides low in the pocket with very little handle sticking out of the pocket.
On occasion I carry my Bud Nealy X-Cel. It is a great little fixed blade knife that fits in a deep pants pocket and has a multitude of carry options.

Yeah I love the Bud Nealy as well. When it comes to Fixed carry I really liked the MOD Razorback.
When I want something a little smaller for t-shirts and shorts and I and I dont have pockets, I clip the the Benchmade Push Dagger to my waistband.
Really like both of them. Would love to purchase some Mercworx products as well!

Who carries just one knife at a time?!! That's as crazy as carrying just one gun.
Depending on what job I am at and wheter dress or casual.
Dress- CRK sebenza with wood inlay
Working the Ambulance - Strider SMF
Working th ER - Emerson CQC7 with wave
This is my current edc. A Buck Strider 880.
My normal edc is a benchmade 610 Rukus. Right now I’m waiting for some new pocket screws from benchmade.
This is my dress up knife. A 690 with carbon and rose wood. It doesn’t get used much.
Used my CQC 7 today to pry open a Honda Odyssey door enough and keep it open enough to insert a tool into the doorjamb to unlock the door, thus remove a 2 yo girl.
It worked fine, but adds to my desire to obtain a Strider DB.

Benchmade Griptilian and waved Spyderco Endura 4, both plain edge.
Chris Reeve large regular Sebbie most days, others a small classic Sebbie. If I think I'm going to need more of a tool it'll be a Strider DB or DB-L, I usually keep one in the truck along with a Gerber multi plier.
