I rocked a Spyderco P'kal for 6 years before switching to a Karahawk. I tried three other k-bits with the Emerson Wave and was unimpressed with all of them. For general purpose cutting, I usually carry a small, cheap Sanrenmu or Chinese made Kershaw too - something so that I don't have to use my SD knife for utility work. I wear a Warren Thomas/Fred Perrin carbon fiber/titanium recurve tanto LaGriffe around my neck every day. When I'm in the wilderness, I always have a carbon steel Mora with me, and when working from home I keep a Swamp Rat Rucki tucked under my desk.
