Gettin' down innagrass.
Let's Go Brandon!
Benchmade 940. Love that series. Axis folder with a reverse Tanto blade. I have three of them and a fourth is around my house somewhere...
You can pull it out, set the Axis to flick open with the right touch. Drop back closed when you pull the button. Nice clean lines, pretty easy to sharpen.
My wife used to be annoyed with me carry a knife. Now she just holds out her hand and say "Gimme it", everytime she needs to cut something.
I'm REALLY liking the Spyderco Slysz Bowie. Pictured here with the rest of my typical EDC...
I'm spoiled by the Axis lock (and the 940). I EDC a 940-1, and it's the perfect EDC blade for me. The Axis is lightening quick, the thing weighs almost nothing and is THIN! I don't feel it at all clipped to the same pocket as my wallet. The blade shape is great, and I'm liking S90V a lot. I just think that's one of the few knives that does carbon fiber correctly. It's the absolute minimum in every regard while still handling like a much larger knife.
Quick pic of a 275 with a whole lot of pocket time... I still carry it for funsies;
In a world where the Mini Grip costs around $90, weighs something like 3 ounces, and has a great lock and perfectly adequate steel? I can't say you should get a 940.
All the 940's are overpriced, Benchmade occasionally uses CS as a substitute for QC, and while all the 940 steels are better than 154CM, and the blade is an excellent design... it just doesn't cut or carry a whole lot different than a Mini Grip.
But what can I say? I love the 940... And I'm part of the problem, because paying what they asked only hurt before I received it. I just haven't found an EDC knife I like better.
