    kac and geissele reaction rod...

Will it work? If not...what will? I want to change a muzzle device. Does kac just use a crush washer or do they torque it down like crazy with rock sett or something on the factory muzzle device?

As in a sr15 with an e3 barrel extension? It will not work with the reaction rod.

I believe kac has a tool of their own that is similar to the reaction rod but fits the e3 barrel extension

This is the problem with proprietary bullshit. You couldn't give me a gun with this kind of baggage, MAMA!

That is why I won't buy KAC. You'd think they would realize that a lot of potential customers would be wary of proprietary stuff and stay away. I want interchangeable parts that can be installed with standard tools. The only exception that I will accept is the barrel nut.

I chose the AR and SCAR platforms as the two I would use and keep spares for. KAC, HK and others make good rifles, but have too many proprietary parts and tools.

Yes there is. Geissele on the left, KAC on the right.
