So just talked to Jay (President of Sharp's) today in reguards to the new price of $79.99. This new price is the price that bolts where sold to distributors when they were sold to the distributors. Sharps will only sell to the public now. They have decided to cut out the middle man and go directly to the customer. Lower prices for us the consumer.

Naturally, it may be used by evil men for evil purposes, but there are more good men than evil, and while the latter cannot be persuaded to the path of righteousness by propaganda, they can certainly be corrected by good men with rifles."

If $79.99 is the price for good then thats a great price. But it will take time to see if it truly offers an upgrade.

Bolt life on a standard bolt is 10,000-15,000 rounds or so, certainly won't be an easy number to surpass and will def take time to test. I have heard concerns of S7 tool steel as a bolt material in extreme cold environments, anyone know more about this?
