    have you seen the QD mount that the KAK tubes come with? they have a hardened steel bushing for the QD

    I'm using an IWC QD on mine. Seems to work well.

    I use the asap, and I'm not a huge fan, it's super noisy and for some reason always twists the connector on my one point.
    when life closes doors on you, blow them off the hinges.

    I'd remove and weigh it for you, but getting the sig brace off is too much of a process - it's on tight!

    It's all aluminum so it's really not too heavy at all - also where it is does not really alter the balance since it's supported right at you hand.
