10.5" SBR and Free Float Forearm ?

OK....So I'm gonna bite this bullet and get an SBR.....I've decided to go for a 10.5 LMT upper (unless someone has an extremely compelling argument to the contrary) and the next phase with be a AAC M41000 for the SBR, but the question is, is it really worth it to get a free float forearm over a KAC RIS/RAS? I know it will offer some additional accuracy, but is it a significant improvement. I want a railed forearm for light and vert grip.

    Thanks

    Thanks!

No, no Tmag. It's an L-5.

I wish Nick would send me a Tmag though. Hint Hint Nick

I have pics with the L-5 in but I thought I'd show off the Pmag first. I'm pretty loyal to Magpul.

Here's my LMT SBR 10 7/16" barrel (cutdown from a 14.5"), I 'shaved' the gas block and used a 9" Daniel Defense Lite Rail.

    SuicideHz,

What front sight do you have on your rifle? Is that a sling attachment on there?

    Thanks,

My 10.5" LMT with Omega Rail.

Given the price of the Omega and it's ease of installation, the question is why not free float a 10.5?

That is the best point so far, but I'm still looking for a good reason why. I have an old KAC RIS/RAS (can't remember which).....So the real question: is there a good reason why I should ditch the KAC RIS/RAS to go with a FF forearm?

    Thanks

I have read that FF forearms that use their own barrel nut can act like effective heat sinks, drawing heat away form the barrel chamber area.

I don't know if that's been proven, but from what i remember, some reliable folks were attesting to that fact.

    Just another possible benefit.
