The engraving I do in house is with a 30w CO2 laser. Does great. There are some examples on the website. I have done some stippling with a soldering iron. Laser is more precise though. I guess it really depends on your skill level and the tip you use.
So if I want to engrave a lower for a sbr I would need to send it back to y'all?

The hardest thing to swallow about these lower is the transferee fee costing as much as the lower does! Lol, gotta find someone who will put multiple items number on one 4473 without charging another fee.

Any engraving shop (trophy shop usually has them) with a low wattage laser can do it. I would recommend that you send them back to me because I have done them before and if someone else messes up..they can replace them. All i charge is a flat $20. Most of that is to cover the shipping back to you (adult signature usually runs $14). I usually engrave on the magwell or above the trigger/hammer pins.

My laser is only a 30W. Works great on Nylon. Not so much on metal. If you have a metal lower I would recommend going to a local trophy shop where they engrave plaques.

I have built 2 AR's with TA lowers and I have 2 more in the gun locker for future builds. I also have also bought one of the AR10 lowers that is due out this spring. If you want a light weight AR this is a good lower to do it with. It may require a little fitting on your part but if you are handy with some hand tools you can put this lower together in about 30 minutes and it should last you a life time of shooting. kwg

So its just a matter of getting the hand load retooled . This issue only shows up around 10% of the time which makes me think that it happens in the mold when the insert is placed and not a design flaw. Either way, once we get it fixed in the next few weeks , we will replace your lowers free of charge. No need for a new transfer because it is considered a repair by the ATF

I have a local FFL who does transfers for $25; up to (at least) 4 on one 4473/fee if they all came in the same box. Guess I'm just lucky.

That is a good deal, the best I have found is $15-20 per serial number (no longer available) and $50 for 3 numbers (5 numbers fit on a 4473). Most places are seriously asking $40 per number, period. They don't like you strolling in and picking up a box of $40-50 lowers that they have on their shelf for $150 bucks each plus tax. I guess there are enough suckers in the world to support their profit though. Not me, screw um! I'll waste their time fondling their guns and then go buy it online for cheeper with free shipping. See, capitalism can cut both ways.

Back on topic, these seem like polymer lowers done right, and the price is outstanding enough to buy a few or more!
