I see there have been some issues but I'm thinking with a little care and seeing where some of the others have been having some issues I can avoid the problems and complete the lowers. kwg
I now have 2 of the TA lowers mounted with uppers. I have not had any issues with them but I have not put a lot of ammo through them. I'm thinking I need one of the new 308 uppers due out next spring and I still want some pink ones for the grand daughters. Since they are only 3 and 6 I figure I have some time before I build them a rifle. I have confidence that TA will still be in business.

I put a Del-Ton lightweight upper on the TA lower. kwg

Up to 3k rounds on mine.. Not much data there but I'll go through another 1k this weekend and see what pans out. So far my only complaint is the rear take down is tight... Like I need a round to push it through.

Any update on your round count, and how your lower is holding up, etc.?

As a TN resident, I love to buy TN when I can, and just finished a SBR build using a billet CMT set. I was waiting for the beta testers to do their thing before taking the plunge myself, but in the grand scheme of things, how much of a gamble is it, when I paid just at $80 for B.A.D. to send me a FDE ambi-safety for my last build?

EDIT: Yes, you'll note by my join date, I'm a long-time reader, but first-time poster here. I still have a lot more to learn than I do to contribute, but at least I've been at it long enough I feel like I know half the right questions to ask.

Sure- maybe 4250 now. I slowed down as Holidays kept me busy. No issues and the main concern I had doesn't exist anymore, which was the loosening of the pivot pins. I saw on FB, Frank Proctor had 8k+ on his lower without issue. I purchased a 3rd to do a light as possible carbine for kicks.

The issue some have with worrying the buffer tube would snap out doesn't resonate with me, or rather, present as a possible event. I think they are a nice change of pace, I wouldn't do a SPR/DMR or primary gun with one for longevity sake but yea, I'm happy.

What is holding you back about it being a possible primary gun?

Nothing but personal preference. I have no data or elevated skillset to say otherwise...just prefer a quality aluminum lower to ensure a wider spectrum of parts fitment if it was my only gun.

Thanks for clarifying, I just ordered a pair of lowers and going to try and put something together a little lighter than my other rifle.

For what it's worth frank proctor posted on Facebook that has been using one of these lowers for some time now and has aprox 6,000 rounds on one without issue.

Just saw that post, I quoted it below:
I started looking at the TN Arms lowers to reduce the weight on my rifles and have one lower with about 8k rounds on it and it's going strong and saves about 3 ounces on the entire rifle. 3 ounces doesn't sound like much but if I save 3 ounces on 4 components that's nearly a pound. The BCM stock I'm using now is about 3 ounces lighter than a standard B5 and considerably lighter that a CTR. The KMR rail is waaay lighter, my new light mount is also saving some weight, plus the sling only weighs 2 ounces with everything you need to attach it to the rifle. I'm going to look at another scope mount soon also to save some weight there. Goal is to have a super functional do everything from 10 yards to 600 yards rifle close to 6 pounds.

I Cerakote Glocks and bake them in the oven at 175 degrees. They don't even get any softness at this temp and definitely no deformities.
