My personal grab in case of bombs going down, tits going up, and shit going sideways rifle has a Trijicon TA01NSN ACOG with troy BUIS under it and fixed front sight post. Don't plan on running CQB much where I am at and there are a lot of places where I can see a long ways. As far as close in with it, I may not be able to pick which eye I put the bullet in at speed, but I can pick which region of the body so that is good enough for me. Also a factor is my eyesight is not perfect and I get a little bit of staring with the Aimpoint I own but with the Acog everything is crisp and that makes me happy and accurate. In fact on another rifle build I am working on, the one that Aimpoint currently resides, I am seriously considering dumping the Aimpoint and just running irons.

    I have a TA33 on my POF P415, but it's too heavy for SHTF. That's why I built a Noveske with a TA11.

I'm running similar here. Two rifles, one for me and one for my wife. One has T-1 and Aimpoint magnifier in LaRue flip (I keep magnifier in pouch). One has Accupoint TR24R 1-4X. I run irons on both as a backup.

There is two particular rifles I built with SHTF in mind. I'd have a very hard time figuring out which one I'd grab first.

One has an AimPoint with BUIS and 4 extra batteries in the stock. This gives me roughly 20+ years of battery life. No need to go pillaging XBox controllers for AA batteries... Sorry Eotech fans :-)

The other rifle is a 1x6 SWFA SS that doesn't need any batteries to work. There's no doubt the 1x6 is more versatile.

Aimpoint t-1. After seeing Larry vickers blow one up , destroy the mount and it still worked fine, I'm a believer. Back up irons of course.

ACOG TA33 is about the most balanced optic I've found...ironically...close the front lens cover and look at the target vs the optic...acts like a red dot...kind of like an aimpoint...thanks to its eye relief

Two rifles. Both have an Eotech EXPS 3-0 with Gen 2 MBUS. Extra lithium batteries in the stock, and an Aimpoint 3x magnifier in a Larue QD FTS mount to swap between them.
