Any 1-6x optic options for SCAR17 in the same price range as the Vortex Razor HD II?

I looked at some Leupolds, but they were duplex only, and not really suited to longer distances. Burris and Primary Arms have some options, but I have concerns about their durability on the SCAR. USO has some nice stuff, but I can't afford it.

The Vortex is looking like the best option, but the reticles they offer don't appear to be too strong for close-range stuff at 1x. Has anyone tried them out? The JM reticle got a lot of complaints, and the new MRAD/MOA versions look appealing, but I'm not sure how they'll work under 100yds.

I like the Vortex 1-6 a lot. I've only used it on a buddy's AR, but I was impressed. I really liked the small, bright dot for shooting at close distance and the BDC is simple to use and fast.

Snipershide.com has recently reviewed and compared a load of 1-6 and 1-8 scopes. If you haven't sene it, you should. Btw. happy Razor user here. (I do wish the MRAD reticle was available when I got it though. I do manage with the JM quite alright, but would have definately opted for the MRAD given the choice.)

The Mk6 scopes are around $2k, though. Too rich for my budget.

If you're LE or Mil, they're significantly cheaper.

Would this work? This has the Firedot SPR reticle. I'd love to get the Vortex, but this is more inline w/ my budget. Also, considerably lighter, though probably, not as robust.

That's an attractive option. Will it last on the SCAR? I'm probably blowing it out of proportion, but optic durability is a real issue with these guns.

For not much more Leupold Mk6 1-6, buy once, cry once.

Not sure where you're looking but they can be had for significantly less than that... (Shop around)
