Got this 229-DAK in 2006 -
1,000's of .357sig, .40S&W and 9mm (Bar-Sto barrel) rounds and not one failure!
"When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over in a different way. Sing your death song, and die like a hero going home." -Chief Tecumseh
And here's my new Sig 1911 Carry/Nightmare in .45 ACP -
My P-228
It fits my hand like it was made for it, it's easy to hit with, and very reliable. In the 16 years I've had it I don't think I've ever had any kind of stoppage at all.
On the negative side, the finish on the slide isn't very durable. The roll pins in the slide kept drifting out when I was shooting it and I had to slightly flare the inner roll pin at both ends with a center-punch to keep that from happening.
