Tripp mags for an officers size 1911...???

I'm going to give them a try...everybody says they last longer.

I ordered 3 7 round mags for an officers size 1911 (Baer Stinger), with hybrid followers and removable base pads...

Any predictions on how these will work?

I wasn't sure which follower I wanted but went with the hybrid mainly because it has the dimple.

    The reason...

My Baer mags are about 1 year old and have around 10,000 rounds through them and I'm starting to get a few 2nd round nosedives. (recoil spring is new and feedramp is fine)
My gun HAS TO HAVE good stiff mag springs (its a Baer thing I think)...as I understand it Tripps are the best springs there are.

I thought I'd try something new.

I run the Cobra mags in all my full size guns and my wife runs them in her Kimber Ultra. I've never had an issue with them.

They should run just fine the Baer.
